II. Crop Protection Regulatory Conference

The European Crop Care Association (ECCA) is the pan-European voice of the post-patent plant protection industry, representing companies committed to supporting competitive, sustainable and resilient European agriculture. ECCA advocates for a science-based, predictable and workable EU-wide regulatory framework for post-patent plant protection products, aimed at harmonising the current patchwork of national interpretations that undermine farmers’ equal access to effective and affordable crop protection solutions under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.

The II. Crop Protection Regulatory Conference is Europe’s only forum bringing together EU policymakers, regulators and leaders from across the post-patent plant protection industry to examine how upcoming regulatory developments will shape Europe’s agricultural value chain.

Taking place in Brussels on 8-9 September 2026, the conference will explore the evolution of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009, the European Commission’s Food and Feed Safety Simplification Omnibus proposal, active substance and product evaluations, data protection, authorisation procedures and Europe’s agricultural competitiveness. The event provides a unique platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and networking between policymakers, industry representatives, consultants, scientists and national Competent Authorities.
