Prioritising respiratory health in the next multiannual financial framework

As discussions around the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) deepens, there is a clear need to ensure that respiratory health remains a political and budgetary priority.

Chronic respiratory diseases – particularly Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) -continue to be underdiagnosed, leaving millions without timely care and placing a growing burden on Europe’s health systems.

In late 2024, the EU launched the Joint Action on Respiratory Diseases (JARED) to improve prevention and management of COPD and other chronic conditions. Yet this alone is not enough. Stronger EU commitment, backed by dedicated funding, is needed to sustain momentum, expand prevention, and tackle COPD underdiagnosis.

Join us for this high-level breakfast, where policymakers, industry leaders, and experts will come together to explore the future of chronic respiratory disease management in Europe.

This event is by invitation only.
