The creator economy has become one of the fastest-growing forces shaping today’s digital landscape.
At the same time, the regulatory landscape is evolving. Following the EU’s adoption of the DSA, and of guidelines under article 28, there is a growing focus on the well-being of younger online users. This has sparked several initiatives, including new own-initiative reports from the European Parliament’s IMCO and CULT committees, which will feed into the evaluation of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, and the upcoming Digital Fairness Act.
Striking a balance between digital safety and inclusive access is crucial. This requires a risk-based approach to service design and a practical, risk-based view of age assurance that protects all of children’s rights, from privacy to access to information.
This event will explore the impact of creators on the economy and evaluate how regulations, innovation, and collaboration can secure a competitive and equal digital future.
This event is by invitation only
