Women’s health and menopause: turning momentum into action

Women’s health — and menopause in particular — is gaining increasing attention across Europe, as policymakers and healthcare experts recognise its significant impact on public health, workforce participation, and gender equality.

Building on previous discussions in the European Parliament, this flagship breakfast event will explore how growing awareness can translate into concrete policy action. Bringing together policymakers, scientists, and health stakeholders, the discussion will examine the latest scientific evidence, the importance of integrating women’s health into EU policy and budget priorities, and the role Member States can play in advancing the agenda.

With a special focus on the upcoming Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU, the event will look ahead to the next steps needed to strengthen women’s health policy across Europe.
